Description:
If the most deadliest creatures on the planet were ever to confront each other in the wild, which predator would win the ultimate battle? Many of nature's deadliest confrontations are never seen and some of the mightiest beasts are destined never to meet - until now!
This 12 part series challenges the animal kingdom's predators against each other in a virtual fight, combining a unique blend of nature and cutting edge technology.
Each episode of the series recreates two fierce animals as biomechanical beasts in a 'bite lab', with the help of a team of international scientific experts. They design, build and test animatronic replicas of animals who could - but usually don't - fight against each other in the wild.
The team deconstructs the fight by building metal replicas of the animals and recreating the animals layer by layer - skeleton, muscle and skin - in a virtual computer environment.

Description:
Stephen Hawking's Universe, starting on Discovery Channel on Sunday 9 May at 9pm, Professor Hawking explains why reaching out to extraterrestrial beings is "a little too risky", that the thought of aliens existing is "perfectly rational", and that any aliens who find Earth may plunder our planet for resources before moving on - "much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans".
The show delves into the mind of the world's most famous living scientist and reveals the splendour and majesty of the universe as never seen before. Using a combination of CGI, live action, archive and visual effects, the three-part series brings Hawking's extraordinary vision of the universe to the screen in stunning high definition.

Discovery is ready to launch a new series called Life, which captures the unique struggle for survival among different species across continents.
Our planet may be home to more than 30 million different animals and plants. And every single one is locked in its own life-long fight for survival. Life uncovers some extraordinary strategies they've developed to stay alive and to breed.
Life, which has been filmed over 3,000 days, aims to narrate about 130 different stories featuring various rare species. Beginning on May 24, the 10-part series will be on-air from Monday through Friday at 8 pm. It will be aired in three languages - English, Hindi and Tamil. The channel has roped in Britain's natural history filmmaker, David Attenborough as the narrator for the series. Sir David Attenborough is Britain's best-known natural history film-maker. His career as a naturalist and broadcaster has spanned nearly five decades and there are very few places on the globe that he has not visited.

Description:
Although the series is characterised by large budgets and high production values, Natural World programmes rarely fall into the category of blue chip wildlife films (as defined by Derek Bouse[6]). The brief allows for experimentation in terms of presentation style and subject matter. Films with conservation messages and human-animal interaction feature alongside more traditional profiles of individual species and natural habitats. Some of the more unusual subject matter has included plankton, wasps and cephalopods.
